I am hoping it will make it on the plane. Even though the shipment says Thursday I was hoping to get it earlier, but I doubt it. I ordered the same model as you.

Yeah, I've very seldom got something earlier than the Fed Ex or UPS estimated date once it's shipped and got a tracking number.
Thankfully I've very seldom got anything later than the date as well! They're pretty good about hitting those dates.
I'd love it on Wednesday since I work late on Thursdays, but I'd be very surprised if it didn't come on Thursday as scheduled. At least I should be able to work from home Friday and have time to play around with it then and over the weekend!

I was online waiting Friday when the Apple store opened, actully on the phone line. Good thing it was 3 in the afternoon in Brussels and I was at work with not much better to do...lol
had the online store open as well, at open it said shipps in 3-5, 30 min later 5-7 days, mine should be at my Mom's house by the 22nd nad I also got the free engraving. I order the smart cover and the HDMI dongle, both have shipped, 1 by UPS the other by FedEx...
Also ordered the Bodyguardz full set, ships Monday, Mom will wait until all parts get in then ship to me at my APO. I really hate that Apple will not ship to APO...

Is that delivery date of the 16th in the Fed Ex tracking or on Apple.com?
Some have posted having a 16th estimate on Apple, but 17th on Fed Ex tracking. Mine doesn't give an estimate on Apple.com anymore, just says shipped and has the tracking number. Prior to shipping the estimate was the 18th to 25th.

Mine says the same thing. I am guessing the person with the 16th ETA has that ETA from FedEx because they said their FedEx status was the same as ours.
I placed my order time stamped at 4:03 AM Eastern Standard time on Friday morning so I thought I would have the best delivery date. It was scheduled for the 18th to 25th. I was actually surprised that they did not have some for home delivery on either Saturday or even Friday afternoon.

Try tracking your Fed Ex package there. Someone posted that link on Macrumors and it's more updated info than the FedEx.com link.
My FedEX.com tracking is still on the exception from missing the cutoff yesterday, that small business link shows that it left the facility in China a bit a go.

I just tried the link and it says 2011-03-13 23:51:00 Left FedEx Origin Location Shenzhen.
