Why would you not purchase it at Walmart? I don't get that. Does it matter where you get it? It all comes from Apple....

I want the full Apple experience especially if all the products are priced the same. If Walmart were running a sale on Apple products then, YES, I would shop there. The Apple store is a 30 minute subway ride away for me and there are several Apple stores in the city for me to visit; I don't need it to be right in my backyard. I would never stand on line for 5 hours to purchase ANYTHING in this day and age of online shopping. I bought my iPhone 4 online from Verizon wireless.

Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

The "full Apple experience" isn't important enough for me that I'd want to spend 1/2 an hour to an hour dealing with the lunatics on the freeway heading toward the Las Vegas strip. Certainly not important enough that I'd then want to contend with the tourists going goggle-eyed at the sights and sounds, or the line of wild-eyed and aggressive vendors trying to grab my attention as I wend my way through the casinos or the huge malls.

Nope, I'm happy with my purchase (with no line) from that little French boutique (Tar-get) and the fact I still had plenty of time to grab a coffee at the lovely wee Scottish restaurant right inside the door (McDonalds) on my way out.

As to the original question ... pick whatever colour floats your boat, my dear!

All of my HD TVs are black, as are my Blu-Ray player and receiver. I got a black iPhone 4S and a black iPad 2 because I think they look sharper meaning nicer. When I order the new iPad, it too will be black.

I got the white vision. Never like my original iPad that was black. Both my iPad 2 and now iPad 3 are white.

I think the iphone looks great in white, but at the same time, the iPad looks better in black. So I have a white iphone and a black iPad. I think I will continue this trend.
