iPads in the classroom

I've been using my iPad for nearly 18 months but have only just started using it in the classroom. My aim is to use the functions and apps on my iPad in my lessons but so far I seem to have failed. Hopefully the right cable will allow me to project from my iPad thorough my apple tv thingy straight to the board! Exciting times to come.

Sounds like AirPlay might be your friend here. Haven't used it myself but it appears that it will stream wirelessly from iPad to AppleTV, which can be hooked up to a projector.

Display Mirroring could also be useful to you. Again, I haven't used it, but what you see on the iPad screen should be what your students see on the projection screen.

Hi Amberwatch - welcome to the forum! :)

You might want to better explain exactly what you want to use on your iPad (e.g. Keynote etc.) to show your students and also what options you current are trying to use, e.g. HDMI TV or monitor, projector (as suggested already), or other. For myself, the only 'mirroring' that I've done is via an Apple HDMI cable (shown below) to my HDTV - works fine but you are wired!

Apple TV should provide the 'wireless' options if you want to go that route - good luck and please let us know your solution(s) - this question has come up before and I'm sure others will be much interested!
