MacRumors reports today on a story from Jim Dalrymple on The Loop that says that iPhoto for iOS has managed to achieve 1 million users in just 10 days since its release. Dalrymple stresses the point that this is 1 million users, not downloads, as it’s always possible that a user downloaded an app many times over, which is why Apple is counting users, not downloads. MacRumors points out that with the app costing $4.99, that means that Apple has earned $4,990,000 in 10 days from just that one app. Also reporting on the story, AppleInsider notes that iPhoto is currently the Number 2 paid app in the iPad App Store, and Number 18 on the iPhone App Store. The iOS version of the Mac app was launched at the same time as the new iPad, in order to take advantage of the new device’s Retina display and improved camera.
