Is Apple Planning to Launch iPad 3 with 2560X1920 Display This Year?

A lot of rumors are saying that the iPad 2 was just a small upgrade and iPad 3 will be revolutionary. Hopefully that's true, but I guess we will wait and see. I don't think that high of a resolution is possible right now. It would need to much processing power, and kill battery life. Apple always has some trick up their sleeve though, and I can't wait to see what it is for the iPad 3.

I wonder if they can offer a better screen, more processing power, everything else, and all at the same price? We may be looking at several models in the not so distant future, just as in the Macbook or any other line.

Whatever iPad3 has or does not have it really needs Flash

I think what you mean is, you really need flash, not everyone is reliant on it, I haven't missed it once since I got my iPad. But regardless, it ain't coming on iPad 3!

iPad has flash if you get the iSwifter App from the App Store.

I seriously doubt the iPad 3 getting released this year unless as said by others it isn't the iPad 3 but is released as the iPad Pro but still unlikely.

It will never happen just accept it .

I Sell in our retail store. The Good Guys the Acer 10" tablet with flash and Android os..We purchased for resale total 8 x 32 gb and 16x 16gb units (wifi) more than 2 months ago Apart from the 16 gb tablets selling to 3 staff and not to mention on sale plus $100 cash back from Acer we have only sold to the public 8 units an average of 1 per week and now this product is now in clearance as we must dropEthane price to sell it. Keep in mind they are they same retail price as the iPad. Considering it offers what the IPad has and includes flash can some one explain why it is not selling. Our Sister store whom is licensed to sell iPads ie Apple full reseller only 20 k away has back orders for the iPad and can not get enough to meet supply what ever model they receive it is sold before it hits the store.

My point is consumers really don't care about flash as a feature. If in fact it was a big deal we would have sold out of every Acer we had in stock in one day. I can understand users frustration in not able to access flash sites that they use for business and in that case the iPad is not the tablet for them to purchase.

Choices are available if one really and I mean really needs flash either use the Apps available that can be purchased via the App store or seek out an alternative tablet..

One more thing... I have not used my lap top since I purchased my iPad 1 last May 2010 and now iPad 2 except for back up of the iPad, loading new songs not on the iPad and photos I needed plus the only apps I needed that I did not have on the iPad were MYOB accounting, using the ipad direct to update the wifi modem and syncing the iPad plus 4 iPhones and Apple TV .

I have never and never had issues surfing the net that has caused issues with flash as I own many Apps that access sites that use flash so problem solved .... I am not a casual user of the net my day to day usage is high seeking out resolving problems for this forum and others plus resolving problems for my large client base.

Flash does not and will not run natively on the iPad. iSwifter and other apps are just workarounds where they run remotely and hence why they are buggy and unreliable. It's the same with, say, Windows, it won't run natively but you can connect and run through an RDP app.

So I take it that you have never tried to open a site, and got the message "Flash Needed"

Possibly in the past but not that I can remember......so if I did then it wasn't overly important to me. Oh, and I do quite a bit of browsing everyday on my iPad.

The problem with rushing out products like this is that previous ones are "forgotten" in terms of supporting software. Then again, all apps are universal anyway, so maybe it won't be such a huge problem.

How do you figure this to be......iPad 1 is still supported?

I think it would not be not reliable, there is a rumour that Apple would push iPhone 5, but the result is none. So I can't believe it ,even I appreciate that very much.
