Is New Optimised Facebook App on the Way for iPad?

MacRumors reports today on the possibility of a new, optimized version of the iPad Facebook app being on the way. According to the report, MacRumors' eagle-eyed reader Mark Jobson sent them a screenshot (above) from the UK App Store that reveals the familiar Facebook icon at the bottom of the screen, bearing the legend, “Facebook, Enhanced for the new iPadâ€. As the Facebook app has not recently been updated, MacRumors surmises that this must be an indication that a new and improved version of the iPad Facebook app is on the way, which will be enhanced especially to take advantage of the new iPad’s snazzy Retina display. As MacRumors notes, the iPad Facebook app, which took its own sweet time appearing on the iPad at all, after Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg initially said that the iPad was not a mobile device, has not been updated since last December.

I wish they update the app. If they make it iPad HD ready then they might as well implement the timeline feature. The iPhone and Android versions already do.

Probably... All of the apps are gradually being updated for the new iPad.
