What's new

Is this good battery use?

Time to drain it to zero, or till it dies.
Then you start recharging, hoping that the meter will re-sync , and start giving normal readings.

Actually I agree with the suggestion to just let it drain until it shuts off then let it charge back up to 100% so it will reset the battery percentage indicator.

I know this. I just wanted to see if anyone thought my battery doesn't last very long.

I guess no one can answer my questions? I'm not asking what to do.:(

There is probably nothing wrong with your battery. It only appears that your battery is draining faster than you are used to seeing. I guess what we are trying to say is that the percentage indicator goes gefundershnitz and gives innacurate readings and this procedure usually takes care of that.

I just got it and I have been using it mostly throughout the day being stuck in the house (snow) since 12pm to now 1 44am and it's at 41%

hi marie, just had the same problem on my iphone4 today. itvwas draining really fast . at 5:15 AM it was at 100% then by 9:22 AMit was already at 59%. and the device is getting hot.

I will try what people are suggestinf. hope it works. ;)

It almost sounds like an app is running in the background if it is getting hot to the touch...taking CPU cycles and not letting the device sleep. Battery life on mine is insane. Coming from the Android phone world, this is nuts. I left it for two days (I have a family full of sick people--colds) and it still said 100%!

I don't think apps are really technically running, nor do I think they drain the battery. But, hey, my opinion, that's all.

My iPad will stay at 100% too, if I don't use it.

Nope, no apps running. Just battery going crazy. I did hard reboot, everything I could think of. Then I just turned it off for about 30 minutes or so. Turned wifi on, then it went back to it's normal state.
