iTunes Sync Issue

When I sync my iPad after I have purchased an app my iPad no longer asks if I want to transfer my purchase to iTunes and it deletes my app and I must redownload from app store on iPad. Where in iTunes can I change this? thanks

I'm not in front of the pc at the moment but I think
Preferences> reset notifications
I think....
Once that's done and you sync to iTunes....you should get the pop up message stating that "you have purchase's on your ipad that are not in your iTunes library. Do you wish to transfer"
