Having trouble with ipad iCloud email freezing not only iCloud mail, but also my gmail and wideopenwest mail. I have
Been getting spam for the past 3 week on iCloud, and it can't be deleted or forwarded or moved. The icons don't work. I
have to go to my PC to delete the mail before I can see any other mail, and to delete all iCloud mail.

I reset my privacy settings to high on my PC but it didn't help.

Any ideas? If I delete my iCloud account I'm afraid I'll lose all my photos.

Thanks,
Kathyellen

Hi, Kathyellen, welcome to iPF!

When you delete your iCloud account, you're asked if you want to delete documents and information saved in iCloud as well:

You can keep that information on your device, if you prefer this option. Even if you decide to delete those, your photos will stay on your device.

There'll be no harm done when you delete the account and reinstall it.

Hi Kathyellen and welcome to the Forum!

Try closing your mail app completely and then relaunch it. Do the 4 finger swipe up to reveal your multi task bar along the bottom, these are all the apps you have opened.
If updated to IOS7 just swipe up on the mini screen above the app icon to close. If on an earlier OS press and hold the app until it jiggles and a 'minus' sign will appear, press the minus sign to close the app. Now see if it's working.....if not a restart of your iPad is the next step.

Restart....press and hold your On/off button (top right).....once it is off wait a few seconds and then restart. Now see if it is working....if not a reset is the next step.

Reset - press the on/off button and the home button simultaneously, keep holding them in until you see the Apple logo before releasing the buttons and wait for your iPad to start. Let us know how you go.
