Kobo today announced an update for its iOS eReader, which introduces innovative new features for Kobo users on the iPad, iPhone and iPod touch eReaders, enabling them to interact with books and easily share their love of reading.

The main feature introduced in the update is the integration of Instapaper, which you can now sync and read with the Kobo app. Instapaper makes it easier to read long text and enables users to easily save articles and other types of web content to read later on their Kobo app.

As with books, magazines and newspapers in the Kobo library, users can now sync Instapaper clippings on Kobo apps across all Apple devices. The update also enables users to “Like†books and share what they are reading with their friends via Facebook, as well as sharing their favourite passages and notes from any book via Facebook.

If you don’t already have Kobo, you can download the free app here: 1.8 million Free Books ? Read Kobo eBooks! for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store
