Looking for a dashboard app

Hi, I'm looking for an app that will display information like news, weather, scores etc. while the iPad is docked. I've found apps that just do weather but it would be nice to get other updates while the iPad is charging. It's too nice a screen to waste.
Any ideas ?

If you are JailBroken, yes, you can. It's called LockInfo and it's available on Cydia. You can have email, weather, sms and many other things displayed on the lock screen if you want. You can also have it display on your home screen if you want. Check it out.

Thanks for the reply. That sounds just what I'm looking for, unfortunately I'm not jail broken. What possible reason could Apple have for not allowing such an app?

Apple rejected the app because it "contradicted the iPad's user experience," which is a weak excuse and underestimates the user considerably.
