What's new

Marie's smiley, clip art sample thread,

Oh. Thanks, Scott! Hey, check out my thread, I forget which one, but I bet that is a Scammer that posted.

Or not ~

And as far as the coffee thing goes...

Being the semi-barista that I am, I prefer to brew my own coffee. I think I can count the number of times on one hand that I have been to Starbucks! Actually, the QuickTrip (a convenience store/gas station chain) has a carmel macchiato for 99¢ that is just as good as the "high-priced" version at Starbucks!

Check out Shirley.
I honestly don't think she fits either category. What she is is an opportunist who is trying to promote her website/product for free... which is against the rules here! Promoting your product/service is OK as long as you do it in a PM, not on the open forum.

But sadly, iDan has not made me a moderator (yet!), so allowing such behavior is not my call. But seriously, if you think there is inappropriate content, you can always report it.

The mods and admins can't be at all places at all times so they rely on us to bring things to their attention so they can take appropriate action.

So is a Troll a Scammer?
A troll is someone that posts "controversial" comments or questions that they know will cause people to respond. We often refer to them as "shitums disturbers"! They just post things that will get other people's attention, not because they have a legitimate question or comment.

A scammer, OTOH, is someone who wants something from you ($$$), usually by offering you a deal that seems too good to be true.

Trolls usually have a low post count too, sometimes scammers do too.

For some reasons pictures of tats on people make me very queasy.:(
