AppleInsider reports that Microsoft is already testing its Word Flow mobile keyboard for iOS, with the early version being tested featuring a one-handed operating mode.
In the original report in The Verge, sources familiar with Microsoft’s plans said that the iOS version of Word Flow will have a one-handed feature that improves on the current Windows10 Mobile one-handed text input, having separate UIs for right- and left-handed users.
On the current Windows Phone Word Flow keyboard you have a QWERTY keyboard to the right side of the screen. With the iOS version, however, the keyboard is displayed in a fan shape from the left or right of the screen, making it much more ergonomic.
Other current Windows Phone keyboard features set to be included in the new iOS version of Word Flow include word auto-completion recommendations, emoji character input, and an intelligent typing mode.
Microsoft has yet to reveal a release date for Word Flow for iOS, but The Verge says that it will be in the next few months.
