Moving Icons on Desktop?

I would like to organize my icons, I press and hold on an icon and sometimes I am able to move the icon from 1 page to the other, buy most the times im not ?

What is the secret to be able to move one icon to another page ALL THE TIME?

You really do not know?

Wow you are a frequent contributor, so I am honestly surprised. You have to keep your finger on the app icon and gently move it the edge of the page left or right until the page you are going to moves over.

 

[The Alternative]

Once the icons are jiggling hold it with your finger as you slide it to the edge of the screen. I used to have this problem myself because I was actually lifting my finger a split second before it moved to the next screen. It was frustrating until I realized what I was doing. Also, if you split the icon you're moving in the middle at the edge of the screen it will move every time. Hope this helps (and makes sense.)

I do this exact thing, I know you have hold finger on app and they will shake, and I can easily move around, but to get the icon to go from one page to the other I'm only successful very few times..

Also to the one who posted last, what do you mean by icon to be split?

Ok, I can do it right every time now! You have to move icon tower edge of screen and hold it there for split second and it moves, thx! Time to organize icons!

Ultrimate, I just tried it again, moving an app Icon

...as you are holding down the jiggling icon, the icon will expand and then the page moves over. Something I learned whilst doing this icon move is that if you go beyond the last page towards the left, you'll get another blank page.

I thought I had to fill up all the spaces in the pages provided first and then I'd get a new page for more aps.

If you are jailbroken, multiiconmover on cydia. It is literally the best thing about being jailbroken. You make the apps jiggle like they love to do by holding down on one, then just tap the ones you want to move, swipe to the page you want them moved to, then press the home button and they ALL move at once. It makes organizing apps SOOOO much easier.
