I wish I still had my old Vic20, c64, or my sinclair 1000
I'd love to show them to my kids.
How many hours/days did you spend typing in code from a magazine? Anyone remember an AI program called "Eliza"?

I have a Vic20 and C64 but I don't have a Sinclair

I couldn't find my PC-1, but here are some photos of my PC-2.

How did I miss this post!

I had one of these although it was branded Casio, I used it extensively at work over many years.

I'm enjoying reading through this thread.

I don't have any photos of my retro computer. However, my first computer was an Acorn. I used the TV. As the monitor. A cassette tape recorder stored the data. A major upgrade was when I purchased an adaptor which fitted to the back of the keyboard. The adaptor received solid state memory chips on plastic containers which slotted into the adaptor. The adaptor could take up to 3 of the containers. Sorry, it's so long ago that I have forgotten what the extra bits were called.

Our first printer was a dot matrix affair. The sheets of paper were linked head to tail by a line of fine perforations so they could be separated. the paper was fed through the printer via removable perforated strips to each side. Again, sorry about the clumsy wording - I've no photos :(

Memories memories! :)

Ok, so this isn't mine but I have a similar set up, a G3 Strawberry iMac with original keyboard and mouse......

(BTW, in the background you'll see a flat screen.....that is an Anglepoise iMac......they look even prettier and my better half still has one of those!)

Now, IMHO, these little beauties can put many of today's black boxes to shame. They came in many flavours including strawberry, blueberry, snow, etc. mine still runs OSX Tiger (10.4).

Now, even if you find a few which are past their prime how about something like this (cos it looks a darn sight better than those beige boxes that everyone else was churning out at the time.......

It is a thing of beauty!

And a favourite of mine (but a Mac that I haven't managed to hunt down and purchase yet), the Cube......

What pretty Macs! I didn't know they all an assortment of colors to choose from! Love the green!

There is a company here that makes those tables, the gut the inside of the iMacs and they'll install lights inside the cases.

Gosh, I didn't even realize that was a table...I thought it was a special packaging that is done for all those monitors! ...now I see! :)

I finally got rid of my TRS80 model ! in about 2011. I actually assembled a modem kit and calibrated it at a local community college. I no longer had to pre-sign in for lab time to do my home work. I could do it from home at any hour of the day. What a time saver!
