ipads can't die they were never alive to begin with they are a object not a life form.the correct term is quit working for your information.

It is a well accepted term in electronics. Even stars die!

I don't know about the OP, but in the case of my home button, the Apple fix was cost prohibitive. Or at least didn't make sense to me.

Haven't had a chance to get to the Apple store as of yet with my DEAD mini....will post results when I do...I live in the boonies of the boonies & have to go into the 'city'!
