This HD app looks like a real treat for any Nancy Drew fans out there, albeit a little on the pricey side. This is the first Nancy Drew app from Her Interactive, and is part game, part story, letting the player decide how the story unfolds as they play games and solve mysteries. Shadow Ranch sees the teen detective set off on a new adventure, complete with all the twists and turns that readers and gamers have come to love in a Nancy Drew mystery. The difference with Shadow Ranch is that both reading and gameplay are critical to solving the mystery.

The adventure kicks off when Nancy and best friends Bess and George travel to Arizona to stay at the Shadow Ranch, which, they soon find out, has a sinister past. Customers are being driven away by ghost sightings and a series of accidents, and the ranch is in danger of closing. It’s your job to piece together the mysterious events and uncover the dark secret and save the day. Along the way, you’ll get to collect items, find hidden objects, and solve mini-games to unlock more of the story.
