EA’s Need for Speed Hot Pursuit screeches onto the iPad today, featuring precision controls, HD-quality graphics, and an enhanced interfaced designed specifically for the iPad’s multi-touch screen. Players get to drive as a cop and undertake up to 24 Cop Career Events, starting out as a rookie and collecting bounty as they go in order to work their way up through the ranks. Up to 15 high-performance police cars, including the Lamborghini Reventon, are available for you to drive. Once you get behind the wheel you can practice pulling off 180-degree spins and grinding, nudging and drifting. The more extreme your maneuvers, the more bounty points you’ll score.
The feel of the swipes when you unleash nitro or operate the handbrake has been perfectly tuned to match the iPad’s more responsive touch controls. If it’s multiplayer action you’re after, you can also challenge a friend to a head-to-head Cop vs. Racer showdown, playing as either cop or racer, via local Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
