J. A. Super Moderator Staff member Dec 16, 2015 #19 It's possible that your iPad is not a first generation mini, or it's Wi-Fi + cellular. What's your iPad's model number? You can find it at the back of your iPad. It starts with an A, followed by four digits.

J. A. Super Moderator Staff member Dec 16, 2015 #21 That's the first generation mini, Wi-Fi only, so your description is right. The model ID is iPad2,5. That's the ipsw-file you should have downloaded. 9.1 is still signed by Apple, so I'm wondering why it wasn't working.
