It was only a matter of time before someone created an app for this, and now someone has! BGR writes today about a new iPhone app that lets you create GIFs from your Live Photos, and thus share your Live Photos with someone who doesn’t have an iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus.
The app is called, aptly, Live GIF, and it does exactly what it says on the tin. Simply use the app to create a Live GIF from a Live Photo that you’ve taken, and you can then share it quickly and easily via social media services such as iMessage, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.
The app also has 3D Touch support, complete with a Quick Actions menu that lets you tap and hold the app’s icon firmly in order to be presented with the option to convert your latest Live Photo into a GIF.
