While we are excited that the next generation of Apple TV will be arriving as early as September of this year (according to the latest news). Unfortunately the reveal also leaves us with some sad news. It looks like Apple's rumored Apple TV Subscription Service is not quite "read for prime time" yet. It will not be available when they launch the new Apple TV device.
According to the report, Apple still has several licensing deals it needs to work out with the entertainment industry. Luckily, the new Apple TV does set the stage for a later launch of the service, once Apple has all the proper contracts in place. It looks like we will simply need to wait a bit longer for the cake to fully bake.
