Hello to everyone. Some quick background - been in IT now for over 12 years where I administer servers, both virtual and physical. I work with more Linux than Windows, but have a MacBook Pro for most of my computing. My thinking is, whatever tool fits best for that particular project, i.e. Windows 7 for my flight sim needs, Mac/Linux for most everything else.
I've been researching tablets ever since the iPad was first released. Honestly, I found it tough to justify a tablet at first, but I'm starting to see enough of a case to justify buying one now. The portability, battery life, business/home apps and built-in wifi are the main points. I've jailbroken my iphone so tethering to a non-cellular iPad isn't an issue. I'm on the original AT&T no holds barred data plan still.
I have an Amazon Prime account and am in the market for something that will be able to take advantage of all their content. If I can get the iPad to access this content, jailbroken or otherwise, I'll definitely be going with the iPad 2. If anyone has any info on this topic, I'd sure appreciate it. I'll continue to search/research the forums though.
