Today marks phase two of Apple’s staggered rollout of the third-generation iPad across the world, with launches in 25 more countries following on from last Friday’s launch. Starting from 8 a.m. local time, you will be able to pick yourself up one of the new iPads if you live in one of the following countries:
Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Macau, Mexico, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden. AppleInsider reports that customers have been lining up all over the world outside Apple Retail Stores, with particularly long lines outside stores in Mexico, apparently, and other reports of lines forming outside stores in Italy as early as 5:40 a.m. Last weekend Apple managed to sell more than three million iPads, it will be interesting to see how many it can shift this weekend as well with all the new territories on board.
