The line from Apple said that upgrading to IOS 6 would make more apps available and so I went ahead on both my ipad2 as well as the newer ipad3.

1. I found that it took several attempts before both I pads could get upgraded.
2. Some early reactions are:
a) I miss YouTube and google maps
B) the clocks app is great!
C) the pull to refresh is a good, though not so apparent, feature on most of the apps.
D) you can limit ads through the general setting tab in the settings menu.

Will post more based on increasing familiarity with the new OS!

For me personally I am keeping all my iOS devices on iOS 5. I would be losing more than I am gaining with the apps I use/don't use. I'm pretty upset with all this Apple vs Google crap because it is now having a negative effect on me.

I'm a total noob who only had her iPad2 for a couple of weeks before upgrading to IOS6 when it came out. I've lost my AutoFill ability, tho I've checked all of my settings and should be fine. Any advice?

Appreciate it is my choice :) Just was interested in the "vox populii".

YouTube I am content with the mobile version via Safari, or the iPhone app or Jasmine.
Gmaps loss is an issue, but I'll have streetview through android devices, so not too much of an issue.

I notice your sig line says you are on 5.0.1 - that's quite a few updates you've passed on, isn't it?

Great catch! I shall correct this :)

How do I get ios6?

I know this is a stupid question but I had it earlier on my iPad and I accidentally canceled it.

You have an iPad 1, I believe. iOS 6 is not available for that model.

Oh, OK. Thought it was an original. Well, you go to Settings/Software Update, but make sure you actually want it first.

You lose YouTube or at least the embedded version. It adds loads of improvements, most of which you might not be interested in. Have a look through the iOS 6 threads. You'll get an idea as to whether it will work for you.
