Even if the hand gestures you use when working on your iPad might feel intuitive enough and well integrated in the tablet interface, some users will still find themselves missing the good old keyboard and mouse.
So far a possibility of attaching a Bluetooth to ones iPad existed but no such option was available for the mouse. That’s not the case anymore. A brand new tweak called “BTC Mouse&Trackpad†has just become available from the jailbreak citadel – the Cydia Store – which allows users to attach a Bluetooth mouse or trackpad to a jailbroken device.
The tweak is very easy to use. All users have to do is download the application, enable the software in their Setting app and connect a mouse or trackpad to the tablet. When you see a small black mouse icon appear on the iPad’s screen you will know that you are good to go. The tweak supports compatibility with all HID keyboards and mice that Apple has supported since iOS 3.2. Pointing devices such as Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad are also supported even if multi-touch gestures are not enabled just yet, the developer stated.
The BTC Mouse & Trackpad comes with a special set of features. For example it allows users to choose different modes when using the mouse. Presentation mode allows left and right clicks to be turned into left and right swipes that can be used to move between different presentations.
The tweak is available for just $4.98 and works on iOS 4 up to iOS 5.1.1 on the iPad, iPad 2 and the new iPad but also on the iPod touch 2G, iPod touch 3G, iPod touch 4G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S.
