The Next Web reports today that Kodak has announced the launch of an iPad version of its Moments iPhone app. Kodak Moments HD is designed to help the user create, edit, and print photo books, and even includes a postal and same-day pickup service from photo kiosks.
Other key features of the app, according to The Next Web, include the ability to order standard prints and enlargements, as well as full integration with Facebook, Instagram, and Flickr.
As The Next Web notes, the Kodak brand went through troubling times recently, losing many parts of its business after coming out of bankruptcy in 2013. The company now trades as Kodak Alaris, which is a separate company controlled by Kodak Pension Plan in the UK. It looks like the company has finally found a way to continue its photo-printing business via these new apps, which show that there’s still a fondness for the Kodak brand among consumers.
