Hi! I ve had my iPad for a year now and love it but feel I probably could use it for much more then I am doing, so I m looking forward to finding out lots of things. I m not quite retired but use the iPad mainly for TV viewing emails and games. Using iCloud, word processing etc is still a mystery for me! ;) I
I would appreciate it if some one could tell me how to remove my husbands name as the iPad was originally registered in his name. I m at a loss at how to do this any advice please? :)

Hello and welcome aboard!

Do you mean the name of the device that shows up when plugged into your computer / iTunes? If so, go into settings / general / about and the very top should be "name", tap to edit/change.

Hi! My names Lynn by the way. My issue is that because the device was registered when first set up under my husbands name any mail I send will appear firstly to the receprient to be from my husband although signed by me.
I followed your above advice and the name for the device was still as default "iPad".
When I go into the mail settings the "my contact" details are my husbands name. I can not seem to find away of editing this.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Hi, Lynn! If you have an iCloud account, I should be able to help you.
Go to Settings - Mails/Contacts/Calendar.
Tap the account where you want to change the information.

Something likes this is what you get to see then.
Tap the Account, and this will occur:

Here you tap again, Mail, and you'll get here:

This is where you can change to your own name.
I hope this helps. It's in German, but the pictures should lead you the way.

Thanks so much! I ve yet to try it out but I ve a good feeling that this will solve this problem. Your instructions were very easy to follow. Visual is always the best way for me to learn. Looking forward to finding out more in the future. Happy days:)
