Hello - just signing on for the first time.
I live in Cambridgeshire, UK and have had my iPad3 since May. I am approaching retirement so I guess I may be one of the older contributors?! Nevertheless, I am quite computer savvy, having built my first ZX81 in the 80's and cut my teeth on Spectrums and Amigas before reverting to the trusted PC. I have to say that with the iPad, the PC hardly gets a look in these days!
Reason for signing up is that I have just started up a small iPad user group through our U3A and am keen to pick up any hints and tips. One I can share with other readers is this: For my group, I needed to project my iPad display onto our widescreen TV. I tried a couple of adaptors which did not work and then found an excellent HDMI adaptor on Ebay which works with IOS06 and is very good value. I can't post a link yet as I am new. However if you look for the seller 360handyonlineshop you will find it (This is not me by the way in case you were wondering!!)
All the best - Kossie
