New Morphs user and stuck

[VS Jester]

I was wondering if anyone playing the game Morphs knows what to do in the training room. I have gone in there and tried to do everything I can think of, but my morph just sits there and the target moves up and down. I can't leave the room either. I'm sure it's something simple but I just can't figure it out. Please help if you can.
