So I just got my first iPad (a 64GB iPad 1 WiFi) a few months ago. I tried a couple of Android tablets but never had a satisfactory experience with any of them. The iPad, though, is delivering the expected tablet user experience--or at least it was until it started rejecting all attempts to charge it. That that complaint is detailed in another thread in the iPad 1 forum.
I've been using Macs almost since they first came out. I think I first laid hands on one in college in 1986 and acquired one of my own when I was in grad school in 1991. Since then, I've owned at least a dozen Macs, six of which I presently own and three of which are operational. I've also got a couple of iPods, which I mostly use for listening to audiobooks and old radio shows.
