New to ipad

I'm Pam and I got my first iPad yesterday. Yes, I braved the craziness and got an iPad2.

I'm also new to playing games in a touchscreen environment. Mostly I like "move at our own pace" myst-like games, but it's all been mouse driven up to now, and it's been a very long time since I played at all.

Can anyone recommend a site that might offer some general navigation and control advice or tutorial? I tried one game that had me moving my iPad all over the place to look around! I was pretty confused.
