Hi everyone.

Got myself the new IPad and will replace my Nokia cell with a IPhone in due course. The reason I joined is to pick up on
tips and the like in order to fully become immersed in the Apple ecosystem. And of course to get some answers on some challenges.

My first challenge is to actually purchase an app. On Friday evening I changed my security questions. It is now Sunday
afternoon and still I cannot get passed the security questions during the purchasing process. It is still telling me that one or more answers is wrong. Somewhere else I read that one should receive an email that will confirm the changes to the
security questions. Can somebody confirm that please.

Apple has tightened down on iTunes security since a big hacking attack on a tech writer, but they haven't spelled out how. You might be caught up in that. If you just bought your iPad, you have 90 days of free tech support, so might want to just give them a call and check.

I did send them an email and got a very quick response. They recommended that I follow the security question reset process, which I have done twice. This time round I selected new questions and of course new answers. I made sure that I saved etc. Tried to buy something again, but got asked the old questions. Will give it some hours and see what happens.

It seems that my changes are not saved. I tried the process on chrome, IE, and Firefox. Still no luck. On IE it says there are errors on the page. Will continue to try and get around this one.

By the way, if you've not managed to buy anything at all, maybe you could just start a new account. (Of course, if you've got a pre-existing account with a bunch of stuff on it, that makes little sense.)

Thanks for the informative link. I have reported via email the problem to a consultant and she has indicated that she cannot do anything but to report my problem to the engineers. Will report back on this issues. Thanks for the advice, much appreciated.
