Newbie with questions

Hi .. I just signed up yesterday. I have a few questions to ask about this ipad2. First is ,what is this jai
Break and if I did that to my iPad could I then download from the Internet like frostwire? Also is there java in the iPad .. Or if I jail break it can I then download the sun java? I'm completely new to these things and so far I love it .. But I can only download from the app store plus I need java. Thanks in advance and Happy New Year
