9to5 Mac reports on an interview with Nvidia CEO Jen-Hsun Huang at CNET, where Huang gave a whole plethora of reasons why despite there being over 200 Android powered tablets either on the market or about to be on the market, Apple’s iPad is still outselling all of them by the barrel load. He certainly doesn’t mince his words, basically saying the iPad ticks every box and then some:
“It’s a point of sales problem. It’s an expertise at retail problem. It’s a marketing problem to consumers. It is a price point problem. And it’s a software richness of content problem,†Huang told CNET. “Apple is not only better able to explain its product to consumers through dedicated sales people, but it also captures more margin than competitors who have to share margin with retail partners.â€
And as 9to5 Mac points out, Huang should know what he’s talking about as Nvidia is one of the leading suppliers of Tegra processors for Android tablets.
