NY TIMES: Use IPad app or Kindle App

I will be ordering the NY times digital subscription. I can order through kindle and use the kindle app on my ipad for this, or i can just download NY times app from the iTunes store. Do you have any preferences on format of the 2 apps and which do you prefer? NY TIMES I TUNES app or use KINDLE app and order NY times?
