My aged iPad Air (Model MD785X/A, O/S 12.5.5) is distinctly out of date. It is still functional and active and in everyday use but I cannot update some of the software.
Recently I have attempted to upgrade Excel, Microsoft News and Firefox. In each case I am notified that the new version required iOS 13 or better but I get to download the old version. Bah! Humbug!
This leads me to ask, "Why do I still have the old Operating System?" My MS PC is continually updating - continually to the point of being annoying on occasion. If my iPad is not going to update automatically, is there a way to install the latest iOS?
