OfficeDrop has announced via its blog today that it has updated its popular iOS app so that you can now use your iPad 2’s camera as a scanner. With this new feature, the app enables you to digitize receipts, invoices, contracts, or indeed any paper document, with your iPad. It also enables you to create multipage PDFs either from items on your iPad’s camera roll, or by scanning several documents in a row with the camera. Once uploaded via the scanner, all items are then automatically converted into text-searchable PDFs in OfficeDrop. The update also brings with it an improved cloud filing system, which is based on customer feedback , and includes an updated layout, as well as more effective navigation. The app is free, but a subscription to the OfficeDrop cloud filing system will cost you $9.95 per month for 10 GB of storage.
