The long-awaited OmniFocus for iPad has only been out a day and it's already in the Top Paid iPad App chart, as well as heading straight to the top of the Top Grossing iPad Apps chart, no wonder really as it costs a massive £23.99/$39.99! OmniFocus is basically a task management app that syncs with OmniFocus for iPhone and OmniFocus for Mac, and offers lots of professional features for users.
Among the most notable features of OmniFocus for iPad is a Quick Entry function for fast, easy task capture, which enables tasks to be organised on the fly, or stored in the OmniFocus for iPad inbox. Items can be sorted into projects and folders with as much hierarchy as needed.
Forecast is a new feature which displays a weekly view of due items, and OmniFocus also has the ability to display tasks by work mode or context, for example, tapping "Phone" context will pull up only phone-related tasks.
Other features of the app include a built-in search, the ability to automatically sync Perspectives from OmniFocus for Mac, a Library view of all projects, and much more.
Although it certainly does seem a very expensive app, even for business users, I've been checking out the customer reviews in the US and UK iPad App Stores, and many seem to say that it is worth the money for those who require this level of organisation, simply because it's so well done.
