Oprah’s already named SketchBook Pro as one of her favourite apps in the past, and now she’s gone one step further by joining up with developers Autodesk to release her own free version of the app, entitled SketchBook O for iPad. The app is an innovative painting and drawing app that has been created specifically in conjunction with Oprah’s O Magazine’s February “Creativity†issue, but is available for all to download via the app store (see link below).
"This is a truly innovative way for O, The Oprah Magazine readers to share their creative passion through the iPad," said Samir Hanna, vice president of the Autodesk Consumer Products Group. “Digital painting and drawing is within everyone’s reach, and we’re excited to help unlock the artistic potential of O Magazine readers.â€
After March 11th, when the O Magazine Creativity Challenge ends, all painting and drawing features of the app will still continue to work, and an update will be released that updates SketchBook O to SketchBook Express. Considering that SketchBook Pro sells for $7.99/Ă‚ÂŁ5.99 in the app store, this is a great way to get a taste of the fantastic art app for free.
