Password problem with APPs Store

A few weeks ago I changed my Apple ID to a new address from the original one. All seems to work OK except when I go to the Apps Store. The ID that it shows is my old original address, consequently I can't sign on to it to get new apps, etc. as I have no idea what the password could be as I have tried everyone I have had since I got the ipad 3 and none work, of course. Is there a way that I can access this "other ID address" and change it to the one it should really be? I would just as soon avoid a reset unless absolutely necessary, and then I must be certain that I can start anew with a new Apple ID that will carry through to each location such as iTunes and the App Store, etc. Thanks for suggestions and assistance.

Have you tried to sign out and sign back in with your new/different ID?

Having another ID, will make you have to use that ID and password for updating any apps purchased under that apple ID.

Also, I just deleted your other post as it was a duplicate of this one. Please do not do this since it makes it hard for other members to read and help you of there are multiple threads of the same topic present. It is also against forum rules.

Sorry about the posting goof. I didn't realize that. I would like to get rid of the original ID that lingers with iTunes and Apps and get it all back as one with my new Apple ID. How can I do this and be certain the old one is gone? Will just getting a new Apple ID do this for me? Thanks.

Another thought and question. When the popup occurs asking for my password under the old address I am unable to find/use the password, yet it never gives me the option of finding it or making a new password. Is there a way that I can have it ask me to change the password? That would work for me also. Then I'd have an Apple ID for one account and a separate Apple ID for the problem one as well. Is that correct? Thanks

Have you been here yet? If not, follow the instructions to properly change your ID and password.http://support.apple.com/kb/HE40

If you're not in the USA, you can change your country on the page.

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes I had done that and that is what caused or contributed to the problem is my guess. I changed the ID as well as the associated email address without a problem and all was just fine until I went to the Apps store to add a new app or two. That is when I was asked for the password and the email account shown on the popup was the old one that I had replaced with the new change in the Apple ID. I entered my old password, and then several other possibilities and none worked. They still don't and the old email address is still in place. The usual popup offering to change the password never appears, so I can't do it that way. I am at the point of considering a Reset. Will that solve the problem and allow me to start fresh and get rid of the problems outlined above? Thanks for you interest.
