The iPad is turning more and more into a versatile devices that can accomplish so many functions and meet so many demands. It seems that it's becoming a more used tool for musicians and artists who are looking to yield more from their creations.
Follow the example of such artists as Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney is set to re-release five of his original albums in the form of separate iPad apps. Under the management of music label Concord Music Group, Band on the Run, McCartney, McCartney II, RAM and Wings over America albums have been turned into iPad apps.
Each individual app comes with remastered tracks, interviews, photos, album artwork and some videos. So, we can see that it isn't just an album consisting of songs but it comes with extra content. It's like a DVD collection for a movie made into an app, if we can say so.
The apps can be purchased from the Apple App Store for $7.99 each. And, as a matter of fact, you'll actually save money buying them because through iTunes, the albums would typically cost around $17.
