Photo deletion

In the iPad user guide for iOS 5 it describes that you can delete individual photos from your iPad (it even has a picture of a photo with the delete button displayed). I cannot figure out how to delete individual photos from the iPad.....albums, yes, but not photos. Can anyone help? Thanks!

In the photo app u will see the arrow thingy pointed clockwise tap that then the photo u wanna delete then u will see the option. On the other hand i didn't know there's a way u can delete albums though.

Thanks....I do see that but for some reason the delete (which is red) option doesn't highlight, and thus doesn't work (but the share and copy option do work). Hmmmm. Mystery!!!
