Surgeon Simulator, just like the name suggests, is a surgical simulation game released in 2013 by Global Game Jam for Windows PC, Mac and Linux users. Now the popular game has made its way into the iTunes store for iPad users, being available for $5.99 and having a size of 227 megabytes. According to Bossa Studios, the developer of the iPad app, the game has been previously enjoyed by more than one million players on desktop platforms and more than 250 million people watched failed surgeries on YouTube.

You are the surgeon. Bob is the victim. Do your worst! Take urgent care of the world's unluckiest patient, Bob, with your very own shaky hands. As the would-be surgeon Nigel Burke, perform all kinds of crazy surgeries to try to save his life -- or fail hilariously in the process while poor Bob... Well, dies. Join the ranks of more than one million players who butchered Bob for the amusement of 250 million people who watched the failed surgeries on YouTube, now from the comfort of your awesome iPad, anytime, anywhere. Hospitals don't get any better than this, really.

The iPad game comes with Heart and Double-Kidney transplants and two brand new surgeries: teeth and eyes transplant. There are more than 50 new achievements inside the game and a really cool multiplayer mode. You can even play with trolleys in the hospital corridors and plenty other surprises that you will discover inside the game.

Since the game has received most of its promotion thanks to Youtube views, the app comes with the ability to record and upload your botched surgeries, but you’ll need to have at least an iPad 4 for that. What do you say - are you ready to save some lives or is Bob going to die in your hand? But don’t forget that it’s just a game.

Seems like more and more PC and console games are getting ported to iOS. If this continues maybe iOS can be the main gaming console for everything. It was a brilliant idea for apole to embrace controllers for their iPhones.
