Problem downloading update

Hello,

I have connected my iPad to my pc and it said that there was an update for version 5.0. I have tried to download this twice and it gets through the three hour process and then says there was a problem the network connection timed out. Any suggestion? Three hours is a long time to wait and find out that it didn't work. : ) thanks

Have you got the latest iTunes installed?
Have you tried to install it after downloading the IOS 5 file off this forum, the use restore in iTunes?
