PvZ won't save new data

I had to do a restore to upgrade my iPad. I didn't have the 12 hrs of patience to backup my entire iPad, so instead I ssh-ed the data for some games, mainly pvz. I copied the files in the pvz documents folder back to my ipad. My data is there, I can play; but when I close the app and go back later, the stuff I had gotten in the last play didn't save.

What can I do so it saves the data?
