What's new

Question-question game

I posted that our temp was 10 C. Then I had a day at the market talking to people from Ont.,Alta ,Washington,Japan and Sask. and Australia who were all celebrating the SUN! there were also lots of students out for the summer. My favorite couple were retired science profs...he wore a hat that said Waterloo Aviation and had started a science program that included a pilots licence. We talked about science.Super fun.

What did you do 24 hours ago?

I was having "breakfast," which included a Denver omelette, and sharing orders of lemon cream pie, coconut cream pie and warm blackberry cobbler.

New question: What's the best souvenir that you've ever purchased or received? It doesn't have to be fancy, maybe something fun?

My ski hat. I bought it years ago in England, when I was heading to Canada for the first time. It is a moose head, complete with antlers. Five of us had them, and wore them on the flight. About 2 hours into the flight, one of the cabin crew approached us and asked us if we would mind coming to the cockpit. Apparently, the pilot had heard of the crazy moose wannabees on his flight and wanted a closer look. We were treated to a view of sunrise over Iceland. I still have that hat somewhere.

Do you think there is life elsewhere in the universe, and would we recognize it if we came face to face with it?

Kevin I had that same hat!I gave it to a musician named Rick Scott who had a musical shtick about hats across Canada along with hat stories.

I do believe there's life somewhere else in the universe. (Perhaps some kinds of bacteria.) I'm not sure if we would recognize it.

I'll stay with the topic:
If you could visit another place (moon, planet, star, galaxy,...) in the universe, which one would that be?

Australia's favorite steam railway. But I'cheated and googled it Scifan57. Sorry. If you are offended.

My question is, if you were stuck in bed, could NOT move and someone decided to take out all their woes by shouting them at you, while standing in your doorway, what would be your best solution to stop it?

Like are you supposed to be a stroke victim or somehow tied to the bed? I'd go to sleep unless I were in danger, lol. I have tremendous ability to fall asleep. If I were in danger and couldn't move, I'd scream for help, so hopefully the cops would take the nutter away.

What's the scariest thing you've ever done?

I really want to answer this question but time to give someone else a change! Maybe someone will ask it again in a similar way in a few days? ( hint hint ). :-)

Being on the bridge of HMCS Yukon when we came within a few feet of being severely damaged or sunk in a near collision with the USS Kitty Hawk, at around 4:30 in the morning. The yard arm on our main mast was bent and a fibreglass whip antenna was broken off from the flag deck, as well, an antenna was ripped off the edge of the flight deck of the carrier.

Has anyone else ridden on the tender of the Disneyland steam locomotive, right behind the engineers?

I'm not sure whether other people have such experience. I do not have at least.

Do you like sugar. Are you afraid that you will get fat for eating much?

I like everything that's supposed to be bad for you, lol. I'm not afraid if sugar, though. I'm afraid of artificial sugar substitutes; they can't possibly be healthy. For me, it's sugar or nothing.

What are you most proud of?

Finding the courage to begin a new period of my life two years ago.

I'm repeating squib's question:
