Activision’s Rapala fishing games are always really popular, so it’s good to see the Rapala Pro Bass Fishing game coming to the iPad. In the game, which is the first fishing title for iPad and iPhone to concentrate on pro competition, players get to take on some of the fishing world’s top anglers on the pro tour, competing in over 25 tournament events throughout the United States. The game’s fully integrated motion controls enable you to feel smooth casts, the impact of the strike, and the struggle of the fight against over 20 trophy species of fish.
The TV-style presentation includes commentary from the likes of Barry Brueland, the voice of InFisherman TV, live updates, cinematics and all the tension of the weigh-in. A more casual free-fishing mode is also available, offering the ability to practice for tournaments and experiment with the unparalleled line up of officially licensed professional gear from Rapala.
Players can also face off against each other in various arcade-mode challenges, and the iPad version also has an exclusive mode that lets two players go head-to-head on one iPad.
You can download the app here for $4.99 for iPad/iPhone (it looks like it’s only available in the US App Store at present).
