Readdle is already known for making some very useful business apps for the iPad, most notably PDF Expert and ReaddleDocs. Today the company has announced the arrival of a new app in the App Store – Remarks, which enables handwriting, note-taking and PDF annotating on your iPad. Remarks is also designed to be a powerful PDF annotation tool, which can be used to review documents and make comments in text books. Readdle says that Remarks brings convenient writing to the iPad, using a selection of different tools, including several different paper types, different coloured pens and highlighters, floating text boxes, different shapes, and an eraser. You can also use the app to add annotations, notes and comments to existing PDF documents. You can highlight text in PDF files, write comments on top of the text, and even draw simple diagrams. "Many iPad owners are using the device in class and at work. In some cases they want to make notes on the iPad, in others they want to comment on existing documents, so what they need is a product that can do both," noted Alex Tyagulsky, Readdle CMO. "That makes Remarks exactly the application they have been looking for."

Remarks has also been designed with collaboration in mind – notes shared via email can be opened and changed by any other person who is using the app. These notes are also then editable with Adobe Reader and Apple Preview on the Mac and PC.

"It's amazing that you can pick up somebody else's note and change it just as if you were its creator. What's even more important - you can edit your note on the iPad, computer and even Android tablet with a decent PDF application. Your notes are not locked inside the application, they are truly yours," said Alex Tyagulsky, Readdle CMO.
