red and blue line ipad2

So all of a sudden there are these horrible red and blue lines all through my ipad2, i have no idea why. It was fine one minute then had red and blue lines the next and it looks horrible. Only 2 months old. Does this sound like a manufacturers defect? I reset it back to manufacturers settings but its still the same. Thanks

Hi and welcome to the Forum!

Well that's not good at all....we have had a few reports of something like this happening but they seem to be for older iPads that have had a few knocks.
I think a trip to Apple is in order here for a new iPad especially that it's under warranty.
Make an appointment for the Genius Bar at your nearest Apple store and do a full back up before you go as they will just swap it out.
