Reinstalled facebook and app icon is missing

Sat night face ok was frozen on my Ipad2. I reinstalled it and reinstalled it. While it was uploading the app icon disappeared. I apparently still have face
Book on the pad because it is in my settings and I am still getting push notifications and can enter then. Any ideas how I can get the icon back?

Welcome to our forums..... I moved your thread to iPad help ok.


If you have many pages of apps Facebook may have moved into page 11 which is not visable on the iPad but still active. I suggest connect the iPad to your computer and look at the pages that you have apps installed. If you have only a few apps then try holding. Off button and home button at same time untill apple white logo appears and see if that fixes it. If non of the above works please let us know so we can go to plan B

My Facebook Pages Manager was missing on my ipad. App store said it was installed, but it was not showing up on my ipad, and the search function did not show it. I went into settings/general/usage, and saw the icon with no name. I tried to delete it, but swiping it had no effect. I then went into restrictions / delete apps and disabled it. Went back into the settings/general/usage, and deleted it from there. It asked are you sure you want to delete "name=null" i said yes. I then reinstalled it from the app store and it works fine.

Thanks for your input; we always appreciate members helping each other out.

However, this is an old thread. Either the original poster has found the answer elsewhere or has moved on (last post was in May 2012).
